Hey! Its been a while, we are now on week 5 of our 6 week course. The girls are really taking off now, literally! Not everyone made it this week so there was 3 to a pole, which means serious exercise! We spent most of the class working on tricks for the show stopping routine we have been working up to for the final week. My nine girls have nearly earned a new status, to be a pole diva! I can't wait to see them shine next week.
Extra practise sessions have been requested, so a new class will be added on monday nights in Belsize Park, so sign up quickly girls, I will be on hand to help you with your tricks.

Pole fitness round 2
It gets better & better. I am talking about the new course from Pole Divas Fitness, Im the instructor, (if you read my last blog you'll know im recovering from an emergency c-section). My body feels stronger this week, the belly muscles seem to be tightening and I even dared to wear a white tight T-shirt on one of those sunny days last week, seems that along with my pole fitness, the yoga and short cardio sessions are paying off, but enough about me, this is about the class.
The vibe was pumping again this week, its so good to be dancing to the funky beats again. Only a couple of the girls struggled this week after a heavy night out! I think it's the last time they drink before taking to the poles! Talk about spinning!
Its only week 2 and the troupe are really getting the hang of it and have nearly perfected the first half of the routine. With back hooks and front hook spins really coming along, I can't wait to see what they produce next week. Even our new girl got to it by the end of class. They are amazing themselves.

Post-Natal Pole Dance!
When I booked the course up to start 3 months after my baby girl was born, I could quite possibly have been off my rocker! But the promo was out and the girls were signed up! Now it was up to me..yes.. I am the instructor! I had put the faith into my body, and hoped that my pre-natal fitness was about to pay off! I started a couple of weeks before with some gentle fitness to build up my stamina and then with a week to go I put my pole. 5 months had passed since I took it down and an emergency c-section had taken its toll. I put on Madonna and before I knew it I was swinging round the pole whehay! Saturday came, we danced to warm up, laughed and clapped each other as we wriggled and swung our way around the pole. What a release, what fun...I was BACK!
